I first learned how to use them over a decade ago from a wise yogi (you know...the kind who lived in Tulum before any of us even knew to make it our wellness destination.) She gifted me a set made out of wood & taught me how to use them.
It was only years later after learning how meditation really works that I understood what they were doing & how they facilitate deep meditation.

I don’t meditate like most people...for one thing I usually do it while I’m hiking. For another, I pick and choose from different types so my practice is truly my own.
I won’t bore you with all the benefits that meditation brings (seriously there are a lot) BUT I will tell you that once you get into it, it feels really good and the clarity of thought it brings with it is unparalleled.
The reason I tell you this is to let you know if you haven’t tried to meditate before because of the rules, the time commitment, etc you should know that most of what people tell you is complete BS. Learn about a bunch of different types, try some out, take what you like, leave what you don’t. Make your own practice. This is just for YOU screw the “rules.”
