Mine, not yours....
I have a confession to make: for a while now I have been working on something I thought was impossible - controlling my thoughts.
I am a disciplined person, but not when it came to my mind. It used to race ALL. THE. TIME. I could work myself into a thought spiral in 2.2 seconds. I had everything going on in there...conversations that might happen one day, re-enactments of events, you name it I have gone over it 5 times already. With 10 different variations.
Needless to say, my head could be a very noisy place to be.
Then I started learning about how thoughts impact your life. Not in a fluffy, woo-woo inspirational quote sort of way...I’m talking in a quantum physics sort of way.
Once I learned more, I knew better and so I started working on it. Every day. It took a looooong time, but one day things clicked and finally I started getting the hang of it.
I’m not perfect at it (is anyone???) and I assume this is something I will always need to practice, but wow is my head a much quieter, happier place to be now.
