3 Tips for the Most Effective Sauna Wrap Experience


Want to make the most of your sauna wrap?


Drink lots of water before, during and after. Always good advice, but if you’re dehydrated there’s not going to be much to sweat out. Water helps flush toxins out of your body whether you are wrapping or not. I drink 3-4 liters of water a day, no excuses or exceptions.


Sweat regularly. Sweating is one of the three ways your body removes toxins. The more often you sweat - either through exercise or wraps or both - the more sweat your body will produce. Most also find that after wrapping they sweat more during their workouts - it is the gift that keeps on giving!


Relax. There is an estimate that 75-90% of doctor visits are stress related. The relaxation element of wraps is not to be underestimated! Once you are in your wrap, try to quiet your mind and enjoy the warmth washing over you. Feel your tension melt away. Feel your breath slowing. Close your eyes and remember this feeling. The next time you feel yourself getting stressed, close your eyes and come back to this feeling.
